Kingdom Come-Week 2 Monday

Filed under: Daily, Kingdom Come — David Petersen @ 7:15 am

Take a few minutes today to read Matthew 6:1-34.

For Reflection:

  1. Why does God reward some who give to the needy, pray and fast, but not reward others?
  2. What are some possible ways we can store up for ourselves treasures in heaven?
  3. Jesus urges us not to worry. What advice does he give to help us eliminate worry from our lives?

Prayer Starters:

PPraise: Lord, You are pure and holy and full of mercy. You love the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. Thank You also for loving me.

RRepent: Forgive me for acting selfishly, even praying selfishly. Forgive me for storing up treasures for myself, worrying about what I will eat, what I will drink, and what I will wear.

AAsk: Give me what I need for each day, and help me be content. Lead me not into temptation, and keep me from being corrupted by the enemy of my soul.

YYield: I seek You, Your kingdom and Your righteousness. I commit myself to You, and will strive to store up great treasures in heaven.

Have A Great Day!
